How many items do I need to send for bears or lions?

For the best outcome, I will need 10-12 of clothing. If the clothing is small (e.g size 0000 or 00000) I will require at least 12 items plus at least 2 items that are bigger in size (such as blankets, swaddles, wraps, bassinet covers, sleeping bags or size 000 onesies) as some pattern pieces require larger sizes. 

For keepsakes made from adult clothing I can work with 1 item but its best to send a minimum of 2 items for contrast.

How many items do I need for quilts?

For a 20-square quilt: 10-20 items.

For a 25-square quilt: 15-25 items.

For a 35-square quilt: 18-32 items.

For a 54-square quilt: 29-54 items.

Do you make other keepsake animals?
No, I only make bears, lions, and quilts.

What is the maximum weight for animals?
The maximum weight for keepsake animals is 3.8 kg.

Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, I only ship within Australia and New Zealand.

How much is shipping?
    •    Australia-wide: Free
    •    New Zealand: $85 shipping fee

What pattern do you use for the animals?
Both the lion and bear patterns are by Funky Friends Factory.

Do you offer discounts for multiple orders?
Unfortunately, I do not offer discounts for multiple orders.

Do I have to pay to send the clothing to you?
Yes, customers are responsible for postage fees to send clothing. Alternatively, if you’re local, you’re welcome to drop it off.

What’s the turnaround time?
    •    Animals: 12–14 weeks
    •    Quilts: 14–16 weeks

What items can I send?
I can work with most fabrics except:
    •    Silk
    •    Some satin
    •    Leather
    •    Hand-knitted items
    •    Swimwear
    •    Thick denim

Can I include items like beanies and socks?
I can sew them onto quilts, but they cannot be used for keepsake animals.

Can you combine clothing from more than one person in a keepsake?
Yes, I can combine clothing from different people into one keepsake.

What happens if I don’t send enough clothing?
I will contact you to send more items. If that’s not possible, I can add my own complementary fabric to complete your keepsake.

Can I request specific colours or designs?
I do my best to honour special requests, but the final design depends on the pattern and the clothing provided.

Do you return unused clothing?
Yes, I will return any unused clothing and leftover fabric.

What if the fabric I send is stained?
I will do my best to work around stains to ensure a beautiful final product.

Can I see a preview before you start sewing?
Yes, I will email you a layout picture of your keepsake. You’ll have three days to approve it before I start sewing.

Can I use baby blankets, muslin wraps, or special items like christening outfits?
Yes, I can include baby blankets, wraps, and special items

What happens if my clothing gets damaged in transit?
I recommend using a tracked or insured shipping option to protect your items. Unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible for damage or loss during transit.

Can you create keepsakes for pets or using pet clothing?
Yes, I can work with pet clothing or blankets to create a special keepsake.

Do you offer rush orders?
At this time, I do not offer rush orders as I strive to give each keepsake the time and care it deserves.

What if I need to change my order after booking?
If you need to make changes to your order, please contact me as soon as possible. Changes may not be possible once work has started.

What if I change my mind after sending the clothes?
If you decide not to proceed, I can return your clothing, but a cancellation fee may apply if work has already begun.

Can you use clothing with zippers, buttons, or embellishments?
Yes, I can incorporate these elements into the design or remove them if they don’t suit the keepsake.

How do you clean the fabric before making the keepsake?
I recommend you wash the clothing before sending it. I do not launder fabrics to preserve their condition and scent if sentimental.

What’s the best way to package my clothing for shipping?
Please ensure clothing is clean and dry. Pack it securely in a waterproof bag (such as a zip lock bag) inside your parcel to protect it during transit.

What is your refund policy?
As each item is custom-made, I do not offer refunds once work has started. However, if there are any issues with your keepsake, I will work with you to resolve them.
